1. First of all, you don’t have to go to Vidhan soudha, Bangalore anymore. you will only have to go to Belgaum. The attestation of certificates will be done by the Regional commissioner in Belgaum. (this has been done to decentralise the attestation process and to avoid population influx into bangalore)
2. Here is the list of documents you need to produce before the Regional commissioner…..
a) Job offer letter or salary certificate of the company you work for abroad. (this is a must from January 10, 2010 onwards)
b) your Valid original passport.
c) 2 documents for address proof.
d) a DD of 105/- for each document.
e) original certificate that you want to get attested.
f) 2 photocopies of all the above documents
the attestation process takes atleast 10 days they say. and after 10 days or after confirming from them over phone you will have to go to belgaum again. they wont courier you the attested certificates. you will have to collect it in-person.
once you get the attested certificate you can get the respective HRD attestation through any agent.
